

Taif Kaissi, MD
Dr. Taif Kaissi is a co-founder of MiNDS (Medical Network Devoted to Service) a nonprofit organization based in southern CA that provides charitable Specialty healthcare to the uninsured patients. MiNDS also focus on economic empowerment programs, and mental health education to the Muslim community. He also serves as a member of the clergy advisory board at the Los Angeles department of Mental Health, and a member of the CA Mental Health and Spirituality Initiative Steering Committee.
Since 2010 Dr. Kaissi has been a liaison between NAMI Pomona and Muslim community. And worked on several projects in conjunction with NAMI Pomona on Mental Health conferences and community workshops.
In June 2012 Dr. Kaissi Co-Presented at the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health Annual Conference; Islam, Spirituality and Mental Health.
And in May 2012 he Co-Researched, Co Authored and presented MiNDS research study on Patient Perspectives on Provider & Spirituality in Chicago Il at the Inaugural National Conference on Medicine and Religion.
In November 2011 He Co-Presented Minds Body and Soul at the MAS Convention.
He has travelled in the past with the Peruvian American Medical Society to Peru and served as a Triage Physician in their medical mission in 2009 and 2010 (Mission USA).
